Job Description:
FULL-TIME POSITION MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE Position Summary: This position exists for the effective overall operation of the Maintenance Department, in meeting the 24-hour demands of a successful casino operation. Position purpose is to respond to job assignments in the repairing, installation, and preventive maintenance of all commercial HVAC, heating, refrigeration, and other building infrastructure equipment as directed. Performs HVAC repairs without assistance to heating and air conditioning systems and/or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, boilers, refrigerators, piping, etc.) Must be proficient ("Journeyman" level) in two building trades including HVAC-R or demonstrate "Master" level in the HVAC-R trade. Essential Functions: - Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Graton Resort & Casino’s culture and demonstrating Exemplary Service Standards at all times. - Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form. - Works under the supervision of the Engineering Manager and Director of Facilities/Engineering. - Makes all necessary repairs to maintain the properties operations. - Responds to all internal and external guest complaints promptly and efficiently to avoid guest inconvenience or discomfort. -Becomes thoroughly familiar with all systems throughout the property. - Maintains all electrical tools and maintenance equipment. - Ensures that all established rules, regulations, policies and procedures are strictly adhered to. - Performs all other duties, which may be assigned by the Director of Facilities, or any other authorized Supervisors. - Formulate bill of materials to accomplish all tasks. - Systematically prepare to assume job assignments ensuring necessary equipment, parts and materials are available and tasks can be accomplished efficiently and safely. - Have knowledge of MSDS booklet location for your area. - Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals and electrical equipment. - Requires the ability to use and carry job related equipment. Minimum Qualifications: - Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematic drawings, and technical specifications, etc. - Must be proficient (“Journeyman” level) in two building trades or demonstrate “Master” level in one specific trade. - Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background check. - Must be at least 21 years of age. Physical Requirements: - May require prolonged standing. Requires bending, stooping and reaching from floor level. Requires crawling in attic areas, climbing ladders and stairs. - May require lifting, transporting pushing, pulling and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance. Requires hand/eye coordination and depth perception. - Manual dexterity to operate hand and foot controls. - Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. - Requires the physical ability to stand and walk for duration of shift.
